Dutton Goldfield Dutton Ranch Russian River Valley Chardonnay 2004

Dutton Goldfield Winerywas founded in 1998 by friends Steve Dutton and Dan Goldfield.  Steve manages the vineyards while Dan makes the wine.  They have a true partnership in business but also in winemaking.

Dutton Ranch is a conglomeration of over 80 small vineyard lots in Sonoma County but most are in the Russian River Valley and Green Valley.  Dutton-Goldfield offer primarily Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as a little Syrah, Zinfandel and some other wines as opportunity lends itself.

Dutton Ranch Russian River Chardonnay 2004

Rich, creamy tropical fruit, ripe fig and pear with cinnamon and nutmeg framed with moderate acidity and generous minerality.  This was a very pleasant wine to end the year drinking paired with homemade Alfredo sauce over wheat cappellini and Tuscan herbed chicken.
